Volunteer Opportunities at the YMCA
All volunteers must fillout a volunteer application and provide proof of state police and childabuse clearances.

Youth Sports Coaches – Do you love kids? Here’s your chance to work with youth players, teaching them skills for Basketball, Soccer, T-Ball, Flag Football, Tackle Football, Hockey and others.

Youth/Adult Sports Officials – Take charge of the game and use your expertise to officiate YMCA sports programs.

Swim Lesson Aides – Here’s your chance to get wet! You can assist our instructors with lessons, we’ll provide the training, you bring your swimsuit!

YMCA Strong Kids Campaign Fundraiser – Do you love to help others meet a goal? You can be part of our fundraising team which annually raises money through the “Strong Kids Campaign” to support programs and services at the YMCA.

Summer Camp Special Guests – Do you have a special talent or trade? Our kids would love to have you share it with them during summer camp. Entertainers and professionals welcome!

School-Age Homework Tutors – Help our school-age childcare children excel in school by using your knowledge to assist them with their homework! Must be willing to go through Child Abuse and Criminal Clearance Checks.

Friday Night Skate Chaperones/Skate Guards – Do you enjoy socializing with youth? Get to know our kids by assisting our arena staff and being another positive adult role-model in the community. Help us keep the kids safe and having fun while they skate!

Birthday Host - Do you have an itch for creativity; enjoy hands on teaching and learning or just like helping out? The YMCA hosts parties in the Pool, the Arena and in the Children's Discovery Workshop.

YMCA Committee Volunteers – Would you like to help improve your YMCA? Serve on a committee and help our YMCA staff reach our goals! Committees include: Finance, Program and Membership, Building and Grounds, Special Events/Fundraising.

Senior Activities Volunteer – Are you interested in helping to organize, promote, and participate in Senior Citizen activities which may or may not be fitness related. Some examples: Card/Board Games, Special Interest Trips, Nursing Home/Hospital Visitation, Walking/Hiking Clubs, etc.

Child Watch Volunteer – Do you love kids? We are looking for volunteers who are willing to sit with children ages 6 weeks to 8 years in our Child Watch program which enables caregivers to utilize our facility. Must be willing to go through Child Abuse and Criminal Clearance Checks.

Front Desk Volunteer - We are looking for volunteers to help our front desk staff with answering phones, giving tours, keeping up with the towels and also to help make phone calls for membership.

YMCA Annual Golf Tournament – Bring your energy and join our golf Tournament by helping with registration, refreshments, dinner, or prizes!

Creative in house promotions – Maintain and update all bulletin boards. Creatively decorate bulletin boards to advertise YMCA programs to current members and program participants.
